We were delighted to be visited by Ofsted in October 2013, exactly 2 years after our 2011 inspection. The Inspection team observed across school and looked at the achievement of pupils, safeguarding and all aspects of school in depth. Following the 2 day inspection, the team recognised our school as a GOOD school which has secured rapid improvement in the last 2 years. I believe the report is a fantastic and accurate reflection of the work in our school and is testament to the hard work and dedication of a staff team who are determined to ensure ALL pupils achieve. Through fun, engaging learning and high expectations of what it's possible to achieve, we are making a difference in our young people's lives by preparing them for the next phase in their education.
Our favourite quotes include:
"As a result of an emphasis on improving teaching, pupils’ progress in reading, writing and mathematics is improving apace and standards have risen."
And they HAVE!
"Pupils of all abilities make good progress whatever their starting points."
And they DO!
"Teachers have high expectations, provide work that is well matched to pupils’ varying abilities and activities that are motivating and challenging."
High expectations underpin learning, achievement, behaviour and our continued drive for improvement.
"Pupils’ good behaviour, attitudes to learning and strong spiritual, moral, social and cultural development ensures that they are well prepared for their future."
Our children are beautiful individuals who strive to be the best they CAN be, now and into the future.
"School data and inspection evidence shows that this improvement is set to continue."
Oh yes indeed...
Please read the full report to fully appreciate the achievements secured by staff, governance and pupils since 2013 and if you want to get in touch and see for yourself the work that we do - please do.
Ofsted has launched Parent View, a new online questionnaire that will allow parents and carers to give their views on their child's school at any time of the year. Covering over 22,000 schools across England, the 12-question survey will help other parents as they make important choices about their child's education and provide Ofsted with information about schools that will help inform priorities for inspection.
