We have had quite a creative week this week in UKS2. Year 5 have continued their poetry unit. Class 7 have used per-sonification to make charac-ters come to life. Class 8 have used their ideas from their Minecraft stories to write and perform Minecraft poems. There has being some healthy eating in Class 9 as they have put their senses to good use to generate ideas for figuartive poems.
Amongst these activities, the children have compared homophones and examined how prefixes and suffixes create new words.
Maths has being particularly challenging as we have compared fractions, percentage and decimals. This area of maths can be confusing to both children and adults! However, all the staff are pleased as to how well the children are progressing through this unit. Any help at home whilst making pizzas would be greatly welcomed!
As part of e-Saftey week, the children have written e-Safety songs, participated in speaking and listening activities and have even pretended to be a head teacher for a lesson and wrote a potential letter to parents about how their children can stay safe online.
